My performance in the workplace has always been first and foremost about providing for my family. But, there is an important secondary motivator that provides purpose and community on a personal level.  Writing is central to my life’s work, providing not just monetary gain, but collaboration with others through shared expression and thought.  I am pleased that I am continuing to develop those skills through some projects started this spring with Rebuilding Together Houston, a worthwhile organization that helps qualified Houstonians with needed home repairs.  The work is making a difference in the lives of others, a motivating factor if there ever was one.
