It was promised as a Tale of Two Cities. And the contradictions of convictions and rebellion that shaped London and Paris provides an excellent entree for musings and photos about my newly-found work/life balance. Myers-Briggs and the like have always substantiated what my friends know to be true — I like to work hard and play hard. When I had my own consulting business, it was easy to integrate the two — I burned the midnight oil often to be able to work from home and enjoy three-day weekends or attend high-school baseball games or volunteer at church. My re-entry into the corporate world necessitated a more defined dichotomy. Now, once again, my time is my own, and before starting a new chapter, I put a bow around the last one, by way of a rewarding first-trip to London and Paris. I am still revisiting the beauty and wonder that I felt in my visit to these two iconic cities.
